It started with a presence on social media and then with a website in March 2014. Since the launch of that first website, just over two years ago, we have learnt a lot and I have listened to the many comments, suggestions, compliments and criticisms that you have sent my way. I hope that you will find this new website easier to use, of benefit to you in your daily work as teachers and a place that can also provide guidance for parents and students.
The website is open access, there is no need for a login and all of the material is freely available to everyone. Across the pages you will find information about all our exams, new developments from the RIAM Local Centre and tips, advice and resources that I hope you will find useful. We will be adding new videos on different elements of our exams every week. There is also an option to sign up to the newsletter or to contact me or one of the other RIAM Senior Examiners, with any questions you may have. The other element that is new to this site is the RIAM Teacher's directory. We hope this will grow to a comprehensive map of all the music teachers working with our exam system throughout Ireland.
For now I urge you to explore the website, check out our YouTube channel and videos and hopefully you will find some useful material along the way. If you have any questions or suggestions of topics you would like us to cover, get in touch. You can contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. I look forward to hearing from you!
